A member of the Plastic Pollution Coalition
The Plastic Pollution Coalition is a growing global alliance of individuals, organizations, businesses, and policymakers working toward a world free of plastic pollution and its toxic impacts on humans, animals, waterways, oceans, and the environment. Learn more here.
We strive to reach a "100% plastic-free" mark in every product we offer. At the moment, our entire collection is 100% plastic-free except for our toothbrushes, they are 97% plastic-free (the bristles are made of BPA-Free nylon). We are actively working towards finding a 100% plastic-free vegan toothbrush.
We are also committed to 100% plastic-free packaging.
We work with hand-picked, chemical free organic cotton making it the softest and most durable cotton in the world.
Some of our products are also GOTS certified. GOTS is a textile production certification that limits the use of toxic bleaches, dyes and other chemical inputs during the production process of textiles. The GOTS standard also guarantees that products are manufactured in a mill that enforces strict social and environmental standards, treating their employees and the earth with deep respect - because it's so important to us that the people who make such great products are paid living wages and treated like humans.
Panda-Friendly, Organic Bamboo
Panda-friendly? Yes it is. Our bamboo is made from Moso Bamboo, which is grown away from the Panda natural habitat. Pandas feed on over 42 bamboo species, but thanks to its altitude, Moso Bamboo is not recognized as food by panda bears.
We try our best to work with FSC certified suppliers. FSC stands for 'Forest Stewardship Council' - an international non-profit organization dedicated to promoting responsible forestry. FSC certifies forests all over the world to ensure they meet the highest environmental and social standards. Forests are inspected and certified against strict standards based on FSC’s 10 Principles of Forest Stewardship.
Products that are FSC certified are marked in the product description section.
P.S. Bamboo is an environmental wonder-plant. Why? Because:
- It's 100% natural and completely biodegradable. Once composted, bamboo items will decompose in less than a year.
- It requires zero chemicals or pesticides to grow, so it's harvested organically.
- It's one of the fastest growing plants in the world. It can grow up to 3 or 4 feet per day!
- It's sustainable, eco-friendly and pure making it a perfect replacement to our every-day plastic products.
- Oh, and it's naturally antibacterial!
